Circulation Clerk
Help support the library’s mission of access, knowledge, and growth – one checkout at a time. The Wells County Public Library currently has one part-time position open in our Circulation Department.
The role of this position is to support WCPL’s mission by taking pride in access to library materials by following circulation policies and procedures, and by maintaining the physical appearance and order of the collections. You will also be expected to provide engaging customer service at our circulation desk and be willing to work with people of all ages and backgrounds. A desire for collaboration with other library departments is necessary.
Proficiency with technology as well as a willingness to learn and adapt to technological changes is required. A solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, Libby, and the library’s WordWise organizing system is beneficial. A love for reading, a continuous learning mindset, and a sense of humor is a plus.
The position is 22.5 hours per week. It is non-exempt, with a scheduled evening, and an average of one Saturday a month at the front desk. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Pay will be based on education and will begin at $12.85 an hour. The full job description is below.
