Kiss Me in New York is…you guessed it’s a romance. But I promise it is a good one. It starts at JFK airport. Christmas Eve, where Charlotte is leaving for England and Anthony is waiting to surprise his girlfriend. What do these two have in common? They have both been dumped. But with a chance encounter and the “help” of a self help book being stranded in New York is about to be a great adventure.
I enjoyed this book. I usually don’t do something that is just a romance but this one is good. It is a fast read but a fun one and leaves you feeling good at the end. It’s a great Christmas book or even something to cure the winter blues. I honestly hope they make this into a movie. The characters are developed, the plot is believable ( although the chance encounter at the airport is a definite “meet cute” ) and of course, the ending is what every good romance is made of. I really like that it’s not in your face sappy. It also reminds of my visit to the Big Apple when I was…dare I say it…younger. The book makes you fall in love with the story and with city.
To me this is a classic Romance. It is definitely one that teens and adults can enjoy, and even relate to. To get you in the mood, here are some great songs;
New York by Ed Sheeran
New York New York – Frank Sinatra
Welcome To New York – Taylor Swift
