Did you know you can reserve a movie? You can place them on hold through our online catalog, over the phone, or at the library. Movies can be placed on hold before their listed street date by calling the library. Check out this blog for more info - http://wellscolibrary.org/index.php/blog/reserve-movie/

Blu-ray & DVDs - Limit 6 - $.50 each - 1 week rental

A Note to Our Patrons:

Since we added them to the collection in 2013, we’ve had great success with Blu-ray movies. In an effort to streamline our purchasing, you’ll notice more and more Blu-ray movies appearing on the shelves. If you are someone who hasn’t purchased a Blu-ray player yet, don’t be dismayed. With many of the Blu-ray movies, a DVD copy is included as a bonus. Rather than ordering a duplicate DVD only copy, we will be purchasing more of the combo packs. The easiest way to tell the difference is by looking at the spine of the movie. The formats in the case will be listed on the spine. For example, a title that has both a Blu-ray & DVD will say

BLU-RAY/DVD
Batman

If it only has a Blu-ray disc, it will read

BLU-RAY
Batman

The DVD will still say

DVD
Batman

As always, we encourage you to find one of our knowledgeable and helpful librarians to answer your questions.

I’m Jackie Dailey, Audio-Visual Department Manager at Wells County Public Library. My job revolves around maintaining the movies/music/audio book collections you love. When I’m not reading reviews for audio books or watching previews for movies, you can usually find me trying to corral my three kids. What I love: listening to my kids laugh. What I hate: peas.
