Bird House at the Main Library

Children's Book Festival

Posted on July 21, 2016 at 11:11 AM

*** Save the Date ***

Bluffton: Saturday, October 8: 10 am - 3 pm

You do not want to miss this event! Award-winning musician and author Jim Gill will perform many of his signature songs for our young attendees. Then Indiana-based author and illustrator David Slonim will speak about his books and creative process.

The performances and presentations will be specifically designed for kids, but everyone in the family is invited to attend. Jim and David will both be selling and signing books and CDs during the day and there will be a chance to win some free books.

We will also have food trucks down Washington Street, carnival games featuring book themes, special times to meet children’s costumed book characters, balloon animals, professional face painting, and much more!

Hey everyone! I’m Emily Marshall. As the Community Relations Manager for WCPL, I’m usually sitting in front of my computer creating posters in Photoshop, planning library programs, or teaching computer classes. In my spare time, I enjoy reading teen books, watching way too much TV, traveling, playing board games, and trying to convince people that cheesy Hallmark Channel and ABC Family original movies aren't “that bad.” I also love messages, so feel free to email me at emarshall(at)wellscolibrary.org.
